My ADD has officially kicked in this week. I’m bored with Keto now. I’m sick of eating chicken thighs, and I am super sick of cheese. I should clarify though, every single Keto recipe we have tried has been delicious. Seriously. Ninety percent of the recipes we have tried have come from the Diet Doctor website and they have been fantastic. There doesn’t seem to be a shortage of recipes to choose from to try either. Everybody in our house has liked them, including the kids and my Mom. Oh yeah my Mom and little brother are currently living with us while my Mom recuperates from hip surgery that her leg was broken during. I digress. I just need to vary my recipe search so we aren’t eating as much chicken. Problem solved.
Back to me being bored. Usually this is when I quit and move on to the next thing I am excited about. Seriously. A few years ago I juiced for 28 days, nothing but juice for almost a month. I felt amazing. My health was improving drastically, I’d lost weight and several inches from my waist, and I quit. I’d paid over $500 to do the diabetic Reboot with Joe program, I had two weeks left of the program, with weekly meetings with a dietician that specialized in juicing for diabetics and I quit. Because it makes perfect sense to do something for three or four weeks, see that it is not only working, it’s improving my health, and then to stop doing it. Duh. So here we are with Keto, it’s working and I’m bored with it. Doesn’t everybody do that or is it just me? It can’t be just me. I can’t do that this time though, seriously. This is the last stop before I have to consider weight loss surgery, be prescribed more pills, etc. I know that sounds extreme but my health is that bad. I’m 43 and I’ve already had a heart attack and open heart surgery. My self sabotage will have to wait. I’ve already lost 10 pounds, 1 1/2 inches off of my waist, and I’ve been able to cut the amount of insulin I am taking in half. So I am going to stick with Keto even if I am bored with it. Onward.
