It was easier following Keto when I had preplanned meals laid out for me from Diet Doctor. We don’t know enough Keto recipes to come up with our own meal plans just yet. We tried winging it by picking a protein and vegetable but I found myself just eating meat, cheese and vegetables. I can’t eat the same thing everyday, that’s far too monotonous for me. So we need to figure something else out for the upcoming week. I saw a 5 week boot camp on Diet Doctor and I think I am going to give that a try.
It seems like something always comes up. This past weekend we took a trip to WI to spend Valentines Day at Faith’s Lodge. We had a delicious four course meal with friends on Friday night that I am positive was not Keto friendly. I still watched my carb intake over the weekend, but was generous with myself given the festivities. It all seemed to work itself out in the end. Yesterday I weighed in at 181.2 pounds and have officially lost 10 pounds since I started the Keto diet. I was anxious to see if my waist measurements had gone down as well and I am happy to report that I have lost 1.5 inches from my waist! If I can manage to lose another 3 pounds this week I will be back down to 178 which the cardiologist will be happy about at my appointment next Thursday. I feel good about where I am at right now on this journey, I think I am off to a good start. I get lab work done tomorrow so we will see how those numbers have changed. Hopefully I will have good news on that end as well.
