In my head this is what I look like when I am at the gym. Reality is quite different. I am a chubby, middle-aged, wife and mom with a list of chronic disease that would rival most people twice my age. I take fourteen prescription pills, three supplement pills (vitamins), and give myself at least four shots a day. My body seriously doesn’t know that I am only 43. I have a pill organizer. It’s frustrating and depressing. I have been told by doctors some of my medical issues I either inherited or I was pre-disposed to getting because of genetics. That’s not to say that my daily habits didn’t exacerbate the disease because they most definitely did and continue to do so. Here’s my long list of chronic diseases or disorders that I currently am under a doctors care for;
Diabetes, Type II, Insulin dependent
- Stage II Kidney Disease
- Chronic IPT
- Diabetes Type II, insulin dependent
- High Blood Pressure
- High Cholesterol
- Depression
- Type II Bi-Polar disorder
- Adult ADD
- Sleep Apnea
Just looking at this list depresses me. This list is my Goliath. It’s why I have to work on getting on loosing weight and getting healthier, my life literally depends on it.
