Every Wednesday I am weighing myself. I know that some diets have you not weigh yourself, but I can’t help it, I have to. I loved the accountability of the weekly weigh-in when I did Weight Watchers so I am implementing it again. This way I can formally track my progress and hold myself accountable. The picture is from my Fitbit app, taken after my Wednesday weigh in! I’m using the Fitbit Aria Air scale so everything automatically syncs with my Fitbit account so it’s like having someone else weigh you.

As you can see I have lost 7 pounds so far! Woo hoo! This is super encouraging!

Its been 10 days since I started my low carb trial week and 3 days of the stricter Keto diet. I am so excited! I guess I’m doing something right after all. It makes me wonder if I was in ketosis during my trial week. I guess we’ll never know since I wasn’t checking my blood for ketones then. I was doing some reading last night on the Diet Doctor website (it’s an amazing site for low carb and keto dieters, there’s a link to it on the resources page of my website) that listed all of the following as good indicators ofr Metabolic Health Markers; waist circumfrence, blood pressure, A1C, HDL’s, and triglycerides. So today I am going to measure my waist, take my blood pressure (I have a blood pressure cuff at home) and check the labs from the blood work that I had done two or three weeks ago so I have a baseline for these markers as well and I will start tracking those as well. I get labs done once a month already so I will just talk to my doctor to make sure these markers are included. Once I gather the data I will edit this post to include it!
